We aim to take the guesswork out of buying jewellery, and this page is dedicated to answering your most frequently asked questions.

Is your site secure and safe to buy from?

When an order is placed at our website, your credit card and other personal details are encrypted using 128bit SSL technology. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer and are handled only by our own staff. We do not use call centres or data processing centres, and your details are not held in clear text on any web site. You can rest assured that we take your privacy and the security of your payment and personal details very seriously. How much is delivery?

Delivery to addresses in the UK is free for all orders with a value of £50.00 or more . Postal charges for all other orders in the uk are £3.50. UK orders will be sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. Delivery to addresses in Europe is charged at a flat rate of £7.50, while delivery to USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Africa is charged at a flat rate of £9.50. International deliveries will be shipped by Royal Mail Airmail Signed For and may take up to 7 days from the date of shipping to arrive.

All packages that are sent require a signature on delivery. If you want to arrange delivery by an alternative method, or to arrange delivery to a country that's not in our list please contact us by telephone or e-mail.

How do I make a purchase?

Making a purchase could not be easier: just browse through the shop, click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. When you have finished selecting your jewellery click on "CHECKOUT" and you will be asked for a few details. Your credit card details will be processed via a secure server. We will send you an email to confirm that we've received your order.

This does not constitute a contract between us - the contract is formed when we ship the goods to you. At this point we'll send you another email to inform you that your goods are on their way.

How quickly will I get my order?

Where possible we will ship your goods to you within 24 hours of receiving your order. If we are unable to ship your jewellery within 3 days we will contact you either by email or by phone to let you know how long we expect it to be before we can fulfil your order and to give you the option to wait or to cancel the order. Please note that if the shipping address differs from the billing one, we may contact you to ask for further documentation and/or proof of ID and the order might take a little bit longer to deliver. If you need something in a rush then please give us a ring or send us an e-mail and we will be able to tell you how quickly we can get the goods to you - we'll do our level best to help with any last-minute panics!

How do I return goods?

If you would like to return your purchases for a refund please contact us first for a return reference and then return the goods to us in their original condition and in their original packaging to arrive within 14 days of your receipt of them. Please write the return reference you were given on the outside of the package. We would advise that you at least obtain a proof of posting receipt from the post office, or preferably use Royal Mail Recorded Delivery to return your goods. Refunds will be arranged within 30 days of receipt of your returned goods by us. Delivery charges, where applicable, are non-refundable. We are sorry but earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless they are faulty. We expect all of our goods to be of a high standard. If you are not satisfied with the goods please contact us immediately and we will do all we can to help.

I don't live in the UK.

Can I still buy jewellery from jwlcontemporaryjewellery.com?

Of course. We will be delighted to supply you with some jwl sparkle. We have shipping arrangements already in place for Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Africa. If you live in a country that's not in our list of destinations at the checkout please send us an email and we will get back to you with regards to delivery costs. What if I choose the wrong chain length?

If you choose the wrong chain length just give us a ring or send us an e-mail and we will exchange it for you. If you simply require an 18" chain rather than a 16" there will be no extra charge, if you require longer than this then there may be a small charge involved.

How will the goods arrive?

All goods are sent boxed. We offer gift wrapping free of charge so if you would like your goods gift wrapped please state in the gift wrapping option during checkout. There is also a special instructions box at the checkout if you would like to include any additional relevant information for us (for example special shipping instructions). Goods are shipped recorded delivery so will require a signature, please bear this in mind when ordering, if you need to discuss this with us then give us a ring.

Can I talk to someone about my order?

Just give us a ring on 01200 425955 or send us an e-mail and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please bear in mind that if we ring you back we don't want to give away any surprises so if you don't want us to leave a message on your answer phone then tell us and we won't.
